Peggy Ireland is a 3-term past-president of APCUG. In her real life she works for the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) in Washington DC. Peggy has been a member of Capital PC User Group (CPCUG) since 1992. During that time she has served as a volunteer trainer, a member of the cpcug.org User Support Team, a Helpline Volunteer, Training Director, Program Director, secretary and APCUG rep.
Other affiliations include Board Member of Vocational Services, Inc., Certified Lay Speaker and President of WIIT Toastmasters. Peggy has volunteered in several tutoring and reading programs and took part in implementing Staff Development sessions about the Internet for educators in Prince Georges County and Baltimore City School systems. In this interview, Peggy talks about her early days with Capitol PCUG, some of her memories of APCUG events and where APCUG and user groups are headed.
